This workshop is the perfect complement to the “Creating a Montessori Music Curriculum" course. Music and movement naturally dovetail, especially when it comes to young children.
The movement activities you will explore throughout this online training are tried and true, honed through more than three decades of hands-on implementation with young learners.
What's included?
➤ Downloadable Montessori-style Album and materials. These resources will equip you with the necessary tools to offer activities to your Montessori group, providing them with large motor skills practice that bolsters both their physical and cognitive development. These files are also an invaluable tool in helping you develop a well-founded rationale for integrating a Montessori-style Movement component into your early childhood curriculum.
➤ Over 2 hours of instructional video content including movement activity demonstration videos. The videos shown in the course are designed to be interactive. By actually doing the activities along with the videos you will develop “muscle memory” of the movement so that it becomes easy to offer these activities to children. They are short activities that can be integrated into any group gathering, or circle time.
➤ Recommendations for music and movement props. Many of the activities employ recorded musical movement (narrated) selections, allowing you, as the educator, to move freely with the children rather than directing them verbally. You'll have the opportunity to model the actions for them, enhancing the learning experience. While we can't offer mp3 downloads due to copyright restrictions, we guide you on where to purchase the music or access it on popular platforms such as Spotify and Pandora.

➤ Feel confident and enthusiastic about conducting developmentally appropriate movement segments that enhance the physical and cognitive development of young children
