Micro Activism Meets Montessori introduces a practical, Montessori-aligned approach to helping elementary students make meaningful contributions to their communities. Led by Kelly Johnson and Omkari Williams, this course shows how small, sustainable actions can nurture the 6–12 year old’s growing sense of justice, collaboration, and responsibility. With clear examples and simple steps that integrate seamlessly into the Cosmic Curriculum and the prepared environment, you’ll learn how to guide children toward purposeful action that reflects Montessori’s vision of peace, dignity, and interconnectedness. This course equips you with the tools to inspire young change-makers in ways that feel natural, developmentally appropriate, and deeply rooted in Montessori principles.
This course includes a comprehensive PDF download featuring resources, ideas & key points from the modules, personal reflections, Archetype quiz, ideas and examples for lesson integration and shelf materials.

Omkari Williams

Omkari Williams is the Gold Nautilus award-winning and bestselling author of Micro Activism: How You Can Make a Difference in the World (Without a Bullhorn). Her book helps readers identify their “activist archetype” and map a personal action plan for engaging in small, change-making activities with potentially big impacts.

Omkari has worked as an actor, political consultant, and coach. Though she has an affinity for supporting activists who identify as introverted or highly sensitive, as she does, she welcomes all people into the world of micro activism, a sustainable path to change-making based upon honoring the inherent dignity of all people.



Kelly Johnson

Kelly seeks to guide humans of all ages to slow down and reconnect with their natural world, creatively. An artist, author, nature journaling guide, Montessorian, and children's garden facilitator, Kelly brings a lifetime of creative expression, academic exploration, and hands-on gardening experience to each of her endeavors. When does the course start and finish?

This course consists of pre-recorded videos. You will gain access to all the videos as soon as you register. You have access for one year and you may watch at your convenience, as often as you wish, during that time.

Is this appropriate for parents?

The principles in this course can certainly be applied by parents. However, most of the examples used will be for a classroom setting and will reflect the teacher experience. We will not be addressing parents' needs specifically.


Is this a live course?

No. This course consists of pre-recorded video lectures and downloadable resources. You may view the videos as many times as desired at your convenience for at least one year.

Will I receive a Certificate of Attendance?

You can get a certificate of attendance by request. You will need to fill out a feedback form. You will receive a PDF certificate via email. We recommend confirming with your local licensing agency prior to registering if you are relying on having the certificate approved.
