CobbleWorks is dedicated to creating handmade products for home and school with thoughtfulness and love. I believe that a child’s natural sense of wonder is piqued when materials and environments are beautiful and well ordered.

After illustrating the Miss Rhonda’s Readers books, I began sewing pockets and pouches to better display our books and word cards. Teachers told me that they appreciated the handmade aesthetic and the sensorial compliments to their lessons. For example, open-topped pockets encourage care when walking with materials and also look inviting on shelves. A variety of pouches feature hand painted stamps and fabric that coordinates with Montessori grammar colors while others unfold or button close to encourage small motor skills.

I am committed to sustainable making and celebrate the fact that everything in the world has a back-story and can have multiple uses. I take great care in selecting vintage buttons and repurposed materials whenever I can which means each piece is slightly unique and special. Because of my love of scrap, my shop also has a rotating selection of limited edition items for both home and school such as: quilted wall hangings, craft kits, reclaimed wood organizers and patchwork storage bags.

I truly love sewing, knitting, embroidering, sawing, painting and drawing and I appreciate the opportunity to serve others with my work.

My goal is to help awaken a child’s curiosity for the world by making things so lovely and happy, that they simply must touch them and dive into the lesson held inside.
