The basic thought behind the design and manufacture of these containers was the potential for enhancing the children’s involvement and learning within the early childhood and elementary classrooms. Through the use of clear containers, the child’s visual sensory input is enhanced. In this manner, the child increases his peripheral learning. He will be able to see, not only the container, but also a complete image of its contents. For example, when the child views the sandpaper numerals and letters, the numerals for the decimal materials, etc. he will see the entire symbol, rather than only a portion of the symbol. Therefore, even if only passing a shelf, the child will be able to gain a whole symbol impression.

Various boxes allow you to display the same material in different layouts, depending on your shelf-space or desire to highlight more of the activity.

By seeing the contents of the containers, the children will have an added catalyst for choosing the work. Some will be drawn by seeing the materials inside and others will feel secure in knowing what the material looks like, before choosing it. The intrigue is still present, since the child will not make the total discovery of the activity until it is out of the box.

All containers can also be used for teacher-made materials or to display activities purchased from other companies. To assist our customers in determining which containers would be most useful for their classrooms, we have included the inside dimensions for the containers on the website.
