Q: How can I get the tax removed from my order?
A: If you accidentally made a purchase on this site instead of using the tax exempt site, please complete the form above and then contact [email protected] within 7 days to let us know that you need to cancel your order from the site. We will refund your purchase and get you set up with an account on the tax exempt site.
If you miss the 7 day refund window, you will need to contact Teachable directly to request that your tax be refunded. Please submit a refund request to [email protected]. The refund request should include
- a copy of the purchase receipt showing the sales tax paid and Order ID
- a copy of your state sales tax exemption certificate.
- the name and email of the purchaser
Teachable will issue a refund once the documentation has been reviewed and approved. Usually the process takes about 7 days.
Q: How do I find out if I am supposed to fill out one of these forms?
A: Most buyers, including non-US based buyers, will not need to fill out these forms.
You do need to complete the forms if you are buying on behalf of a US tax-exempt organization. If you do not have documentation of your exempt status from your state, you are not eligible.
